Anderson .Paak, one half of Silk Sonic, has revealed a new tattoo which makes a strong declaration of his thoughts on posthumous music releases.

Posthumous releases have certainly become an industry trend lately. You've had artists in the wake of the death have material that was previously unreleased being put out by labels. In many occasions this material is unfinished and doesn't represent the final vision of what an artist might have had in mind. Some notably examples include material from Prince's music vault and the 2014 Michael Jackson release Xscape.
A close friend of Pop Smoke recently spoke out following the release of his second posthumous album Faith. "I'm upset my damn self at it cus I know he wouldn't even want it like this," said Mike Dee.
It's in interesting debate as artists put so much work into their material and curate an image for themselves that what happens to anything just laying around after they are gone?
In the case of Anderson .Paak it's nothing we have to worry about currently (hopefully) as he is gearing up with the other half of Silk Sonic, Bruno Mars, to drop their collaborative debut An Evening With Silk Sonic sometime soon. They recently just gave us the second single from the project "Skate."
