    Andra Day has put out her rendition of the dark tale told that is "Strange Fruit". It is off the soundtrack for the movie "The United States vs. Billie Holiday which features Day in the lead role of Holiday. If the song is any indication Day is certainly able to capture Holiday as an artist. "Strange Fruit" was originally sung by Holiday in 1939. It has been covered previously by Nina Simone, UB40, Jeff Buckley and Diana Ross just to name a few.
