Cardi B has secured her first lead role in a movie. She'll be starring in Paramount's upcoming comedy Assisted Living.
According to Variety, Assisted Living is being described as a raucous comedy with tremendous heart in the vein of classic funny films like Tootsie, Sister Act and Mrs. Doubtfire.
The hip-hop icon will be playing a small time crook named Amber who finds herself on the run from the ops and her former crew. She decides to disguise herself as an elderly woman and hides out in the one place no one will look - her estranged grandmother's nursing home.
Big moves for the rapper who first came to us via the small screen on VH1's Love & Hip Hop in 2015. She made her big screen debut alongside Jennifer Lopez in 2019's Hustlers. She is also set to appear in the upcoming F9 installment of the Fast & Furious franchise.
