Back in the late 90s a new tv version of Cinderella premiered to over 60 million viewers. This was the second remake and third version of Rodgers and Hammerstein's musical. It starred two of the biggest voices in R&B at the time, Whitney Houston & Brandy. It was celebrated for its diverse representation with Brandy being the first woman of colour to portray the princess.
The songbook was very memorable with new takes of classic songs that were penned by the duo Rodgers & Hammerstein and a couple originals written for this specific production.
It has been widely unavailable on streaming services until now...
Fans and those who have never seen it before will be able to watch it anew or over and over again to their hearts content starting February 12th as the film will be made available on the Disney+ service.
