For those who were looking forward to spending An Evening With Silk Sonic with the onset of Spring you'll now have to make your plans for a summer evening. The debut album release from Silk Sonic has been pushed back to January 2022. The pair of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak decided they would rather take the time to release more songs individually to be experienced on their own.
"I don't want to be binge-watched," Mars told Rolling Stone for their September issue which features the duo on the cover.
They won't be putting this extra time to waste. Mars revealed in the interview the album is almost complete but that they are still putting some finishing touches on the project.
"Leave The Door Open" was the debut single from the pair released in March and they just dropped the follow up "Skate" last month. Both are feel good songs and speak to the overall goal of the group to make people feel good. "If it makes us feel good, and resonates with us, that's gonna be infectious and make other people feel good and that's our job as entertainers ," said Mars.
We'll just have to wait a little bit longer for that feel good.
