Gallant is back with his first project since splitting ways with his former label Warner Records. With his new EP Neptune the singer invites listeners along for a journey of soul-searching. The project contains similar themes of isolation and loneliness that were present in some of his former works but Gallant insists Neptune isn't a sequel to those.
"When I put the lyrics side by side, I feel like I'm operating in a later version of the same kind of aimlessness," he explains. "It puts me back in that headspace of looking at my faults, looking at where I can improve."

Neptune features collaborations from VanJess ("No More Tires"), Arin Ray ("Third Eye Blind") and Brandy ("Dynamite").
The Brandy collaboration is like the craziest thing to me - the fact that she was down to do that.
The project clocks in at about 30 minutes and is certainly worth checking out to hear from one of the standout voices in today's crowded R&B scene.
