    The next great biopic, Respect, featuring Jennifer Hudson as Aretha Franklin is slated to hit theatres soon. It should be expected that Hudson will be performing covers of some of Aretha's most classic songs. We have a little taste of what will be delivered with this new track from the films soundtrack.

    The song is Aretha's 1968 classic "Ain't No Way" from her Lady Soul album. Hudson's take is very respectable and cleanly produced. It measures up nicely but because it is so cleanly produced it doesn't contain some of that grit and rawness that's in the original. 

    Respect's soundtrack will be released alongside the film. One of the highlights will be Hudson's remarkable cover of "(You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman."
