    The 2021 MTV Video Music Awards took place yesterday showcasing some past and upcoming stars in music. As far as R&B and Hip Hop fans are concerned singes Normani and Chloe from Chloe x Halle def stole the show with their performances. 

    Chloe after just releasing her first solo single "Have Mercy" performed the song live for the first time and definitely displayed her degree from the University of Beyonce/Ivy Park.

    Normani took the stage right after to peform her banger "Wild Side". Besides the Aaliyah vibes the song already gives off the outfits were similar to one Aaliyah had previously wore to the VMAs. Her performance also included a nod to the iconic Janet Jackson when she brought out Teyana Taylor towards the end.

    And for those who have fond memories of 90s and early 2000s hip hop Busta Rhymes tore down the stage with a medley of some of his biggest hits!
