Our new fave Melbourne-based talent; PANIA pulls through with her new single My Crew.
Enlisting Australian producers Friendless, Hugh Lake, Hamley plus Nigeria’s Tuzi (Omah Lay), PANIA says of the track;
"My friends have always inspired me creatively and I always want them to be a part of the process. This song is about having fun with the homies and showing how you are a reflection of the company you keep."
The release follows her recent feature on the Australian remix of breakout global hit Finesse by Pheelz, and her solo singles LETHIM4ALL featuring Unamii and breakout single and video tiki which landed PANIA an Unearthed Feature Artist slot on triple j, airplay on Capital Xtra in the UK, and PANIA’s recent involvement in Converse’s All Stars Program.
Raised in the cultural melting pot of West Melbourne, PANIA’s music takes inspiration from her surroundings, fusing it with the fiery desire to achieve bigger and better things.
Having reinterpreted songs by Usher and Drake, it's clear how these legends have influenced PANIA: She takes leads from the romantic nostalgia of 2000s R&B, and the late-night, lonely soundscapes favoured by OVO producers; melding them into her own fresh, soul-stirring sound.
