    Smiley, the 24-year-old rapper out of Toronto, is poised to make some big moves. The grind has been going on for a while for Smiley, he began releasing music in 2018 with his street classic Buy. or. Bye and built a buzz around his originality. He has been revered amongst the Toronto hip hop community for being able to bring his first-person experiences to life in his music. Smiley has already been favourite of Drake and he now has the support of his OVO Sound label as he became the latest signee. 

    Fruits of this pairing are already being seen as Drake has lent some bars and takes care of the chorus on Smiley's track "Over The Top. The song is a taste of Smiley's forthcoming project.

    The friendship between Smiley and Drake started back in 2014. Smiley was even credited by the 6god as being an inspiration for his  2018 album Scorpion. Smiley was recently featured on Drakes IG story.

    Smiley continues to remind listeners why he's risen to the top of the Toronto scene and why he seems poised to blow up outside of it now.  His lyrics showcase a keen ability to weave stunning stream-of-conscious wordplay and his videos display the rappers sense of humour. He is certainly one to keep an eye out for especially with Drake in his corner there is no telling what he might do.
