The story of Notorious B.I.G. has been told a couple times via a variety of films, docs and series, over the past decade. This new project from Netflix will be able to distinguish itself by being the first documentary approved by the estate of the late rapper. Netflix has dropped a trailer which chronicles his life growing up in Brooklyn, New York, and becoming the one of the biggest icons of rap.
"Biggie: I've Got a Story to Tell" clocks in at 97 minutes. It will feature interviews from those who knew him best including his mother, Voletta Wallace, and Sean 'P Diddy' Combs. Both serve as executive producers. Faith Evans, Lil Cease and other members of Biggies' inner circle will also make appearances.
The doc will be available on Netflix starting March 1st.
